• At least once a year, the unit should beinspected for the presence of spiders, spiderwebs or other insects. The burner area is acommon and desired spider haven and canpresent a dangerous condition which candamage the cooking center and render itunsafe for use. The presence of spiders,spider webs or other insects can cause the gasto flow from the front of the burner. This is avery dangerous condition which can cause afire to occur behind the valve panel. Checkthe cooking center immediately if any of thefollowing conditions exist:1. The smell of gas in conjunction withextreme yellow tipping of the burnerflames.2. The grill or range-top burners do notreach temperature.3. The grill or range-top burners heatunevenly.4. The burners make popping noises.• Do not use charcoal on the grill.• Keep any electrical supply cord, or therotisserie motor away from the heatedareas of the cooking center.• Never use the cooking center in windyconditions. If located in a consistently windyarea (oceanfront, mountaintop, etc.) a windbreak will be required. Always adhere tothe specified clearances listed in theinstallation instructions.• The 24″ professional grill is designed forsingle rows of ceramic briquettes to beplaced in the stainless steel radiant traysabove the grill burners. To avoid blockingoff the area for the grill burners to vent, donot place the ceramic briquettes over theholes in the stainless steel radiant trays.Placing the ceramic briquettes over theholes in the stainless steel radiant trays candamage ignition components and knobsand void the warranty.• Some 27″, 36″ and 48″ professional grillsutilize Gourmet Radiant™ Trays to evenlydistribute heat and to minimize cooking flareups. Do not place lava rocks on top of theGourmet Radiant™ Trays. This can damagethe knobs and ignition components and voidthe warranty.• Some 27″, 36″ and 48″ professional grills aredesigned for a single layer of lava rock tobe spread evenly over the stainless steelradiant tray above the grill burners. To avoidblocking off the area for the grill burners tovent, do not use more than a single layer oflava rock. Adding excess rock can damageignition components and knobs and voidthe warranty.• Natural gas model grills: Be sure to CLOSEthe manual safety valve supplying the unitafter every use of the grill.• LP gas models: Be sure to CLOSE the LPtank mounted valve after every use of thegrill.• If a cart unit is stored indoors ensurethat it is cool before attempting to move it.If LP, the cylinder must be unhooked andthe LP cylinder stored outside in a wellventilated area, out of the reach of children.From the caster side of the cooking centerpush, never pull, the cooking center.• Never use a dented or rusty LP tank. See therequirements in the installation instructions.• Never put more than one LP cylinder belowa cart-mounted cooking center. Never modifythe cart to house a larger cylinder or morethan one cylinder at a time. Do not storespare tanks in a built-in enclosure.• Keep the ventilation openings of the LPcylinder enclosure free and clear from debris.• LP units require an LP tank equippedwith a type 1 connector and an over-fillprotection device.
