33 K249 Issue No. 4EnglishDownloading Procedure Files (DPI 615 versions only)WARNINGTHE RS232 INTERFACE MUST ONLY BE USED IN A SAFE AREAComplete test procedures may be downloaded from a PC to the DPI 615instrument via the RS232 port. A procedure consists of a number of DruckUniversal Command Interface (DUCI) commands which are usually assembled bya linking management software application (such as the Druck Intecal_W).Before downloading a procedure, the DPI 615 must be in the REMOTE mode. Toplace the instrument into REMOTE mode, proceed as follows.ï Connect the instrumentís RS232 port to a free COM port on a PC.ï Make sure that the COMMS parameters of the PC match those of theinstrument (refer to Page 38).ï Make sure that the instrument is not already running a procedure. If it is,quit the procedure.ï Download the procedure. Procedures are stored in the Datalog directory.The following sequence shows a typical download sequence which commenceswith the instrument in LOCAL mode.Memory Operations DatalogAfter the procedure file has been downloaded, the instrument is usually returnedto the LOCAL mode by the last command in the procedure file. If the instrumentremains in REMOTE mode, switch it OFF and ON to reset it.
