You may hear slight clicking soundsduring cooking, indicating the control iskeeping the power level you set.The appropriate HOT SURFACE indicator lightwill glow when its corresponding radiant elementis turned on and will remain on until the surfacehas cooled below 150°F.Hot surface indicator light will: Come on when the surface unit is turned on. Stay on even after the unit is turned off. Glow until unit has cooled below 150°F.Be sure you turn the control knob to OFFwhen you finish cooking.Dual Surface Unit Control KnobThe dual surface unit has 2 cooking sizes to select fromso you can match the size of the unit to the size of thecookware you are using.To use the small surface unit, turn the controlknob to the SMALL BURNER settings.To use the large surface unit, turn the controlknob to the LARGE BURNER settings.7Tri-Ring Surface Element (on some models)The rear center surface element offers 3 cooking areasto match the size of the cookware you are using.To use the largest cooking area, push in andturn the SELECTOR knob to 12″. Push andturn the control knob to the desired setting.To use the medium cooking area, press andturn the SELECTOR knob to 9″.Push down and turn the control knob to thedesired setting.To use the smallest cooking area, turn theSELECTOR knob to 6″. Push and turn thecontrol knob to the desired setting. This willactivate only the smallest inside heating area.OFFBURNERSIZE6"9"12"Using the Bridge Burner (on some models)To use the bridge burner, turn the left frontcontrol knob to the BRIDGE BURNER settings.For full bridge surface unit operation, alsoturn on the left rear surface unit.To use only the front surface unit, turn thecontrol knob to the FRONT BURNER settings.
