Remember, your new oven may performdifferently than the oven it is replacing.Baking ModesSelect a mode for baking based on the type andquantity of food you are preparing. When preparingbaked goods such as cakes, cookies, and pastriesalways preheat the oven first. Follow reciperecommendations for food placement. If no guidelinesare provided, center food in the oven.BakeThe bake mode is intended for single rack cooking. Thismode uses heat primarily from the lower element butalso from the upper element to cook food. To use thismode press the Bake pad, enter a temperature, andthen press Start. Preheating is generally recommendedwhen using this mode.Convection BakeThe Convection Bake mode is intended for bakingon multiple racks at the same time. This mode usesheat from the upper and lower elements, along withair movement from the convection fan to enhancecooking evenness. Your oven is equipped with AutoRecipe Conversion, so it is not necessary to convert thetemperature when using this mode. Baking time mightbe slightly longer for multiple racks than what would beexpected for a single rack. To use this mode press theConvection Bake pad, enter a temperature, and thenpress Start. Always preheat when using this mode.Broiling ModesAlways broil with the door open. Monitor food closelywhile broiling. Use caution when broiling on upper rackpositions as placing food closer to the broil elementincreases smoking, spattering, and the possibility of fatsigniting. For best performance center food below the broilheating element. Broiling on rack position 7 is notrecommended.Try broiling foods that you would normally grill. Adjustrack positions to adjust the intensity of the heat to thefood. Place foods closer to the broil element when aseared surface and rare interior is desired. Thicker foodsand foods that need to be cooked through should bebroiled on a rack position farther from the broiler or byusing Broil Lo.Broil HiThe Broil Hi mode uses intense heat from the upperelement to sear foods. Use Broil Hi for thinner cuts ofmeat and/ or foods you prefer less done on the interior.To use this mode press the Broil pad once and thenpress Start. It is not necessary to preheat when usingthis mode.Broil LoThe Broil Lo mode uses less intense heat from the upperelement to cook food thoroughly while also producingsurface browning. Use Broil Lo for thicker cuts of meatand/or foods that you would like cooked all the waythrough. To use this mode press the Broil pad twice andthen press Start.
