Turn off all surface units. Removehot pans.Wearing an oven mitt:a. Use a single-edge razor bladescraper (Ceramic CooktopScraper) to move the spill to acool area on the cooktop.b. Remove the spill withpaper towels.Any remaining spillover should beleft until the surface of the cooktophas cooled.Don’t use the surface units againuntil all of the residue has beencompletely removed.NOTE: If pitting or indentation in the glasssurface has already occurred, the cooktop glasswill have to be replaced. In this case, service willbe necessary.Damage from Sugary Spills and Melted PlasticOur testing shows that if youare cooking high sugar mixturessuch as jelly or fudge andhave a spillover, it can causepermanent damage to the glasssurface unless the spillover isimmediately removed.Be careful not to slide pots andpans across your cooktop.
