Assembling The BurnersCAUTION: The electrode of thespark igniter is exposed and themixer bowl may have sharp edges. When cleaning the burner bowl, becareful not to snag the electrode of thespark igniter with a cleaning cloth.Damage to the igniter could occur. Becareful not to turn on any cooktopcontrols while cleaning burner bowls. Aslight electrical shock might result, whichcould cause you to knock over hotcookware.1. Place the Burner Head onto the Burner Bowl.Line the opening of the Burner Head with thelocation of the Spark Igniter.2. Place the Burner Cap onto the Burner Head.3. Place the grate over the burner assembly andburner bowl. The indentations of the bowlshould match the location pins on the bottomof the grate.Installation InstructionsF1F Cooktop BurnersBurner GrateBurner CapBurner HeadSpark IgniterMixer Tube(Chimney)BurnerBowlTurn the gas supply on and use a liquid leakdetector (soap solution) at all joints andconnections to check for leaks. Do not use anopen flame to look for leaks. Be sure all leaksare stopped before lighting burners.10Check for LeaksF2The range and its individual shut-offvalve must be disconnected from thegas supply piping system during anypressure testing of the gas supply systemat test pressures of more than 1/2 psig(pounds per square inch gauge). The range must be isolated from the gassupply piping system by closing itsindividual shut-off valve during anypressure testing of the gas supply systemat test pressures equal to or less than 1/2"psig.The maximum allowable pressure for theregulator is 14" W.C. The minimum pressureneeded to check the regulator setting is 7" W.C.for natural gas.Pressure Test InformationF3About the Cooktop BurnersF4Turn each burner on. Flames should be blue incolor with no trace of yellow. The burner flamesshould not flutter or blow away from the burner. The inner cone of the flame should be between1/2" and 3/4" long.Foreign particles in the gas line may cause anorange flame at first, but this will soon disappear.CooktopBurner1/2" to 3/4"
