It cannot be removed if it is baked on.If your range is removed for cleaning, servicing or any reason, be sure the anti-tipdevice is reengaged properly when the range is replaced. Failure to take thisprecaution could result in tipping of the range and cause injury.Oven VentThe oven vent is located behind the right rearsurface unit.This area could become hot duringoven use.It is normal for steam to come out of thevent and moisture may collectunderneath it when the oven is in use.The vent is important for proper air circulation.Never block this vent.Control KnobsThe control knobs may be removed for easiercleaning.Before removing the knobs forcleaning, please note that the knobs arein theOFF position. When replacing theknobs, check theOFF position to ensureproper placement.Wash the knobs in soap and water ora vinegar and hot water solution butdo not soak.Molded flat areaFlatFlat StemSpring clipClear groovein stemMolded ribGroove Stem The knob stem has a groove in eachside. The groove on one side has aspring clip. The other groove is clear(see illustration). Check the inside ofthe knob and find the molded rib.Replace the knob by fitting the moldedrib inside the knob into the cleargroove on the stem.The knob stem is flat on one side (seeillustration). Check the inside of theknob and find the molded flat area.Replace the knob by fitting the moldedflat area inside the knob onto the flatarea of the stem.
