Occasionally brush, blow or vacuumthe debris from the surface of the burner. Onlyperform this operation when the burner iscompletely cool.NOTICE: To prevent damage to the burner:• Always make sure that the protective screenis properly in place on the infrared burner.• Never allow water to contact the infraredburner.Cooktopburnergrates(on somemodels)The enameled cast-iron burner grates should becleaned regularly.Wash them in hot soapy water, rinse and drythoroughly.The grates can also be cleaned inside an ovenduring a self-clean cycle, or in a dishwasher. Theframes may be cleaned by hand or inthe dishwasher.Although they are durable, the grates may dullover time, regardless of the best care you cangive them. This is due to their continual exposureto high temperatures.Do not operate a burner for an extendedperiod of time without cookware on the grate.The finish on the grate may chip withoutcookware to absorb the heat.For stability, the frames have rubber pads oneach corner. Remove the light cover by pulling its rightedge down. NOTE: The locking clip may fallfrom the light cover. It will need to bereplaced properly.2. Using gloves or a dry cloth, remove theburned-out bulb by pulling it straight out.To replaceUse a new 12-volt halogen bulb, with G4 base,not to exceed 10 watts. Using gloves or a dry cloth, remove bulb fromits packaging. Do not touch bulb with barefingers. Push bulb straight into receptacle allthe way.2. Place left edge of cover under retaining tab.Roll right side up making sure that the clipseats in place.
