If the firmware has beenupgraded since saving the setpoint file, see Upgrading Setpoint Files to a New Revision- section 3.2.4.8 - for instructions on changing the revision number of a setpoint file.The following procedure illustrates how to load setpoints from a file. Before loading asetpoints file, it must first be added to the EnerVista SR3 Setup environment as describedin the section, Adding Setpoints Files to the Environment.1. Select the previously saved setpoints file from the File pane of the EnerVista SR3 Setupsoftware main window.2. Select the Offline > Edit Settings File Properties menu item and verify that thecorresponding file is fully compatible with the hardware and firmware version of thetarget relay. If the versions are not identical, see Upgrading Setpoint Files to a NewRevision - section 3.2.4.6, for details on changing the setpoints file version.3. Right-click on the selected file and select the Write Settings File to Device item.4. Select the target relay from the list of devices shown and click Send. If there is anincompatibility, an error of following type will occur:If there are no incompatibilities between the target device and the settings file, the datawill be transferred to the relay. An indication of the percentage completed will be shown inthe bottom of the main window.3.2.5 Upgrading relay firmwareTo upgrade the 350 firmware, follow the procedures listed in this section. Upon successfulcompletion of this procedure, the 350 will have new firmware installed with the factorydefault setpoints.The latest firmware files are available from the GE Multilin website athttp:// www.GEmultilin.com.NOTENOTE:EnerVista SR3 Setup software prevents incompatible firmware from being loaded into a350 relay.NOTENOTE:Before upgrading firmware, it is very important to save the current 350 settings to a file onyour PC. After the firmware has been upgraded, it will be necessary to load this file backinto the 350. Refer to Downloading and Saving Setpoints Files for details on saving relaysetpoints to a file.3.2.5.1 Loading new relay firmwareLoading new firmware into the 350 flash memory is accomplished as follows:1. Connect the relay to the local PC and save the setpoints to a file as shown inDownloading and Saving Setpoints Files on 3.2.4.5.2. Select the Maintenance > Update Firmware menu item.
