If the clearance is less than 18", theadjacent cabinets should be at least 5" from the side edgeof the cooktop.PREPARING THE BASE CABINETThis cooktop is designed to fit easily into a varietyof cabinets. However, the combined installation ofa downdraft vent and a cooktop require carefulconsideration.Some cabinets may require modifications.This installation requires a 24" min. deep cabinetbase.
