Installation InstructionsDUCTWORK INSTALLATION(Note: For planning purposes only.)[] INSTALLING THE DUCTWORKUse galvanized or aluminum duct in 6" round or 3VJ'x 10" size, or a combination of both.PVC duct should be used if installing under a pouredconcrete slab.NOTE: Local building code must be followed inspecifying approved type and schedule of ALLduct used.Always use an appropriate roof or wall cap withdamper. Laundry-type wall caps should NEVERbe used.Through Cabinet Toe Space Between FloorJoistDownward VentingInstall ductwork, making male-female connectionsin the direction of airflow as shown. Secure all jointswith sheet metal screws and duct tape to assure anairtight seal.Air Flow-_ uct Tape Over Seamand ScrewScrewUse the shortest and straightest duct run possible.For satisfactory performance the duct run shouldnot exceed 100 feet equivalent length. Refer toDUCTWORK CALCULATIONS for equivalent lengths.Use this chart to calculate the total equivalentlength of the ductwork.OPTIONAL INSTALLATION:REAR WALL VENTING5" round duct may be used on SHORT DUCT runs of3 feet or less, such as direct to outside wall venting.Inside Wall to Roof Direct to OutsideRear Wall VentingTo convert blower exhaust direction, remove fournuts behind the filter which hold blower and wirefinger guard.Rotate blower and reinstall to vent chamber, asshown above. Retighten nuts, but do not overtighten.A WARNING: This appliance should notbe installed with a ventilation system that blows airdownward toward the range.
