Use the + or - pad to choose the desired power setting(Lo/Med/Hi).To turn off the Warming Zone:Touch the Warming Zone On/Off pad.Surface UnitsHow Induction Surface Cooking WorksInduction coils under the glass cooking surface producea magnetic field that generates heat in ferrous metalsthat are in close proximity. The glass cooking surface isnot heated directly since it is not a ferrous metal, but theglass may eventually become hot from the pan. Inductionsurface coils are more efficient and will heat much fasterthan conventional electric and gas cooking surfacecooking products.CAUTIONŶ The induction cooking elements may appear to be coolwhile turned ON and after they have been turned OFF.The glass surface may be HOT from residual heattransferred from the cookware and burns may occur.Ŷ DO NOT TOUCH HOT COOKWARE or PANS directlywith hands. Always use mitts or pot holders to protecthands from burns.Ŷ DO NOT SLIDE cookware across the cooktop surface.Doing so may permanently damage the appearanceof the ceramic cooktop.WARNING FIRE HAZARD: Never leave the range unattended with the cooktop on medium or high settings.Keep flammable items away from the cooktop. Touch the On/Off pad; then touch the + or - pad.Touching the + pad will set the burner to its highestsetting; touching the - pad will set the burner to itslowest setting.2. Use the + or - pad to adjust to the desired powersetting.To use the Power Boil or Melt features:Touch the On/Off pad forthe corresponding burner.For power boil, press +; formelt, press -.
