– 42 –Spark ModuleThe spark module is attached to the metal frameunder the glass cooktopTo remove the spark module:1. Remove the maintop burner assembly (seeMaintop Burner Assembly).2. Put a towel on a flat surface. Place themaintop burner assembly face down on thetowel.3. Disconnect all wiring to the spark module.4. Remove the center screw that holds the sparkmodule in place. Remove the spark module.2. Insert a small, flat screwdriver blade betweenthe edge of the spark igniter and burner baseand gently pry out.3. Unplug the wire from the back of the sparkigniter.Caution: When removing the wire from the sparkigniter, make sure not to damage the heat shrinkinsulation on the wire. Remove the iron burner grate, burner cap, andburner head from the glass cooktop.Igniter Switches and HarnessThe 4 igniter switches and harness are replacedas 1 unit.1. Remove the control panel assembly (seeKeypanel and ERC).2. Remove the 5 hex-head screws from the topinside edge of the control panel frame (seeMaintop Burner Assembly).3. Unplug the igniter harness from the top frame.4. Remove the wire tires that the secure theigniter harness. Remove the igniters andharness.Note: When installing new igniter switches, makesure they are seated securely on top of the burnercontrol.
