– 44 –Cooling FanThe cooling fan has an approximate resistancevalue of 24Ω.The oven uses a fan for cooling the ovencomponents. Air is pulled in by the fan blades andcirculated in the component compartment. The airis exhausted through louvers below the controlpanels and out the slots above the door.Cooling Timing Parameters JGS968The cooling fan comes on when the oven is on. Ifthe temperature is set over 300°F and the oven isturned off, the fan will remain on until thetemperature drops below 300°F or 85 minuteshas elapsed.Cooling Timing Parameters J2S968The cooling fan comes on when the oven is on. Ifthe temperature is set over 175°F and the oven isturned off, the fan will remain on until thetemperature drops below 175°F or 85 minuteshas elapsed.Cooling Timing Parameters JGSP48The cooling fan comes on when the oven is on. Ifthe temperature is over 300°F and the oven isturned off, the fan will remain on until thetemperature drops below 300°F.The cooling fan is located under the heat shield ofthe maintop burner assembly. To remove the cooling fan:1. Remove the maintop burner assembly (seeMaintop Burner Assembly).2. Remove the upper heat shield (see Upper andLower Heat Shield).Disconnect3. Disconnect the wiring from the cooling fanmotor.4. Use pliers to remove the plastic insulationfasteners from the sides of the fan housing.5. Remove the 4 mounting screws that hold thecooling fan in place. Remove the cooling fan.
