33Installation InstructionsCONVERT TO LP GAS (or convert backto natural gas from LP)This range leaves the factory set for usewith natural gas. If you want to convert toLP gas, the conversion must be performedby a qualified LP gas installer.The conversion instructions and LP orifices canbe found attached to the back of the range.Keep these instructions and the orifices incase you want to convert back to natural gas.WHEN ALL HOOKUPS ARE COMPLETEDMake sure all controls are left in the OFFposition. Make sure the flow of combustionand ventilation air to the range is unobstructed.Mobile Home Installation:Be sure the installation of this range in amanufactured or mobile home conforms withthe Manufactured Home Construction andSafety Title 24 CFR, Part 3280 [formerly theFederal Standard for Mobile HomeConstruction and Safety Title 24, H.U.D.(Part 280)] or when such standards are notapplicable, the Standard for ManufacturedHome Installations 1984 (ManufacturedHome Sites Communities and Set-Ups),ANSI A225.1-latest edition, or with localcodes. In Canada, mobile home installationmust be in accordance with the currentCAN/CSA Z240/MH Mobile Home InstallationCode.Model and Serial Number Location:The serial plate for your range is located underthe cooktop. See the Lift-Up Cooktop section inthis manual for instructions on how to lift thecooktop. See the Lift-Up Cooktop section in thismanual for instructions on how to lift thecooktop. In addition to the model and serialnumbers, it tells you the ratings of the burnersand type of fuel and pressure for which therange was adjusted when it left the factory.When ordering parts, always include the modelnumber and serial number to ensure properreplacement parts. Parts may be obtainedthrough General Electric/Hotpoint FactoryService Centers or General Electric/Hotpointauthorized Customer Care® servicers.INSTALL THE ANTI-TIP DEVICE(cont.)For wood construction, drill a pilot holeat an angle of 20° from the horizontal.A nail or awl may be used if a drill is notavailable.Mount the Anti-Tip device with the screwprovided.For cement or concrete construction,you will need a 1/4″ x 11⁄2″ lag bolt anda 1/2″ O.D. sleeve anchor, which are notprovided. Drill the recommended sizehole for the hardware.Install the sleeve anchor into the drilledhole and then install the lag bolt throughthe device.
