Chapter 4. ConfigurationGFK-2224Q January 2017 55The Secondary Produced Exchange Offset parameter is available in the Ethernet Global Data properties whenredundancy is enabled and at least one produced exchange is configured to produce in backup mode. The useof the offset is illustrated below.Non-HSB targets have an additional Ethernet Global Data property, Redundancy Role, which appears when anyEthernet interface in the system is configured for redundant IP operation. This parameter is used only withinthe programming software and is not delivered to the PLC. The Redundancy Role parameter is not displayed forHSB systems.Note: It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the same offset value is specified in both theprimary and secondary target projects.Figure 30: Configuring Redundancy for Ethernet Global DataExchange ID Offset in an Ethernet Redundancy SystemPME Primary ProjectProduced ExchangesEGD nodeproducer id = (a.b.c.d)redundancy role = Primarysecondary offset = ofsname = exchgXexchange ID = XProduce in backup = FALSEname = exchgYexchange ID = YProduce in backup = TRUEPLC - PrimarydownloadtoPrimaryexchange ID = Xexchange ID = YPLC - Secondaryexchange ID = Xexchange ID = Y + ofsPME Secondary ProjectProduced ExchangesEGD nodename = exchgXexchange ID = XProduce in backup = FALSEname = exchgYexchange ID = YProduce in backup = TRUEproducer id = (a.b.c.d)redundancy role = Secondarysecondary offset = ofsdownloadtoSecondaryFigure 31: Exchange ID Offset in an Ethernet Redundancy System
