When the fan is operated,air is drawn up through the filtersand is then discharged through theprovided venting to the outside.The hood also has a light forilluminating the counter space.When NIGHT LIGHT pad istouched, the hood light operatesat a lower intensity for use asa night light.To remove grease filter, grasp the“finger hold” on the filter and slideto the rear.Then pull filter downward and tothe front. The filter will drop out.To replace grease filter, slide thefilter in the frame slot on the backof the opening.\-Pull filter upward and to the frontto lock into place.nTo clean grease filter, soak, thenagitate filter in hot detergentsolution. Don’t use ammonia orother alkali because it will darkenmetal. Light brushing can be usedto remove embedded dirt. Rinse,shake and remove moisture beforereplacing. Filters should becleaned at least once a month.Never operate your hood withoutthe filter in place. In situationswhere flaming might occur onsurfaces below hood, filter willretard entry of flames into the unit.
