14 Part Number 4533030 Rev 1 07/2017Installation Section 2LOCATIONRead and understand all installation safetyinstructions regarding Clearance and Ventilationat the beginning of this chapter.• The range should be installed on a firm, smooth andlevel floor designed to withstand the weight of the fullyladen appliance.• Place the range in installed location and level from sideto side, back to front, and diagonally. This leveling mustbe done with the unit under the hood and in its normaloperating position.• Similar to other electronic equipment, inductionequipment is sensitive to moisture and high heat.Protect the induction appliance from heat, steam andgrease generated by other equipment, such as oven, deep fryer, pasta cooker, steamers, and water bath.• The controls on the front panel must not be blocked orobstructed.• Keep the induction appliance away from combustiblematerials, vapors or liquids.• If the range is to be dais or cove mounted, the baseon which it is to be set should be level. Otherwise, therange must be shimmed to level.• Legs / casters must be fitted to the oven where it isinstalled on a combustible floor.VENTILATIONRead and understand all installation safetyinstructions regarding Clearance and Ventilationat the beginning of this chapter.• The induction range is equipped with an integratedair management system for efficient air cooling andexhaust. Air intake and exhaust vents must never beobstructed.• Ensure the induction appliance does not take in hotambient air or steam from another appliance, especiallywhen the appliance is installed next to heat generatingequipment such as fryers or ovens.• The area in which the appliance is installed must beadequately ventilated to provide air for removal ofsteam, heat generated by the appliance, etc.ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONnWarningPrior to installation, check the electrical supply toensure input voltage and phase match the equipmentvoltage rating and phase. Many local codes exist, it theresponsibility of the owner/installer to comply withthese codes.nWarningThis appliance must be grounded and all field wiringmust conform to all applicable local and national codes.• Power supply cable is not included. This equipment isintended to be installed with fixed permanent wiring.• Adequate means of disconnection of the supply mustbe provided in all poles in accordance to all applicablelocal and national codes.• It is recommended to allow enough slack on theelectrical cord to allow the appliance to be pulled outfor proper cleaning and maintenance.• On ranges the supply entrance is located at the rearor alternatively on the main bottom. The supplyterminal block is accessible from the front. To route cable from the back:1. Remove the access panel from rear.2. Install cable connector (NOT Included) to inlet.①②3. To access the terminal block, open the kick-plate (notshown) below the oven section and then remove theelectrical panel.4. Feed cable through wireway (not shown) to terminalblock at front.5. Make connections at terminal block (3 phases, neutraland ground).
