If two dogs within range ofthe Astro have the same ID, the Astrowarns you of a conflicting ID signal.Follow the on-screen instructions toresolve the conflict.When possible, you should allow theAstro to automatically assign IDs. Ifnecessary, you can manually assign anew ID number to a dog.Assigning a Dog ID ManuallyThis requires wireless communicationwith the DC 40. You must turn on theDC 40 and bring it within range of theAstro.1. From the main menu, press DOGtwice.2. Select a dog.3. Select Show Info.4. Press MENU.5. Select Comm. Settings.6. Select an unassigned andnonconflicting ID.7. Change the update rate (optional).Both 30-second and two-minuterates reduce battery drain, but theycreate a less-detailed dog track andcollected statistics.8.
