Wheremultiple initial approach fixes (IAFs) and feeder routes areavailable, that information may also be displayed. A mapimage provides a layout diagram for each approach andtransition. To display the Airport Approach InformationPage press the APR softkey.To scroll through the available approachesand transitions:1. Press the FMS knob to activate the cursor.2. Turn the large FMS knob to place the cursor onthe ‘APPROACH’ procedure name field.3. Turn the small FMS knob to display a windowof available approaches for the selected airport.Continue turning the FMS knob to select thedesired approach.4. Press the ENT key. The cursor moves to thetransitions (TRANS) field.5. Turn the small FMS knob to display a windowof available transitions. Continue turning theFMS knob to select the desired transition orselect ‘VECTORS’ for guidance only along thefinal course segment of the approach. Press theENT key. NOTE: the cursor moves through theremaining fields but they are not selectable.6. To remove the flashing cursor, press the FMSknob.NOTE: Not all approaches in the database areapproved for GPS use. As you select an approach,a GPS designation to the right of the procedurename indicates the procedure can be flown usingthe GPS receiver. Some procedures do not havethis designation, meaning the GPS receiver maybe used for supplemental navigation guidanceonly. VOR approaches, for example, must beflown by tuning the NAV receiver to the properfrequency and coupling the NAV receiver to theHSI located on the PFD.
