It must be verified against the aircraft registrationrecords.[2] Use the aircraft landing configuration stall speed (Vs0) as specified in the aircraft pilot operating handbook(POH) or aircraft approved flight manual supplement (AFMS).[3] The discrete input/output are active-low that are grounded when active/set and open when inactive/clear.5.2.3 External GPS Source ConfigurationThe GDL 82 can be interfaced to a Garmin GTN 6XX/7XX series navigator, GNS 400W/500W seriesnavigator, or GNS 480 navigator as an external GPS sources. GPS navigators interfaced to GDL 82provide GPS PVT data via RS-232. Required navigator software version and configuration setting areshown in Table 5-2. Interfacing a GDL 82 to a navigator other than that listed in Table 5-2 requiresseparate airworthiness approval.
