57Part Four: Section 3HTAWS AlertsPilot ActionsIf a HTAWS warning and associated aural are received, the pilot should immediately maneuver the rotorcraftin response to the alert unless the terrain or obstacle is clearly identified visually and determined by the pilot notto be a factor to the safety of the operation.A HTAWS caution alert indicates terrain or obstacle nearby. If possible visually locate the terrain or obstacle foravoidance. A HTAWS warning alert may follow a HTAWS caution unless the aircraft’s path towards the terrain orobstacle is changed.NOTE: Display of terrain and obstacles on the display is supplemental data only.
