Alerts are providedaccording to the following conditions:• If your projected course will take you inside an airspace within thenext ten minutes, the alert message “Airspace ahead -- less than 10 minutes” willappear. The nearest airspace page will show the airspace as “Ahead”.• If you are within two nautical miles of an airspace and your current course willtake you inside, the message “Airspace near and ahead” will appear. The nearestairspace page will show “Within 2nm of airspace”.• If you are within two nautical miles of an airspace and your current course will nottake you inside, the message “Near airspace less than 2nm” will appear. The near-est airspace page will show the airspace as “Ahead < 2nm”.• If you have entered an airspace, the message “Inside Airspace” will appear. Thenearest airspace page will show “Inside of airspace”.Note that the airspace alerts are based on three-dimensional data (latitude, longitudeand altitude) to avoid nuisance alerts. The alert boundaries for controlled airspace arealso sectorized to provide complete information on any nearby airspace.
