152AUX PAGESSetup 19Setup 1 PageThe setup 1 page provides access (via “menu options”) to airspace alarms, CDI scaleadjustment, an arrival alarm, units of measure settings, position formats, map datums andsettings for local or UTC time display. When a menu option is selected, the correspondingpage will appear providing access to the various unit settings.To select a menu option from the setup 1 page:1. Press the small right knob (r) momentarily, to activate the flashing cursor.2. Rotate the large right knob (d) to select the desired menu option, and press E.The following menu options are available:Airspace Alarms— allows you to turn the controlled / special-use airspace messagealerts on or off. This will not affect the alerts listed on the nearest airspace page or the air-space boundaries depicted on the map page. It will simply turn on/off the warning providedwhen you are approaching or near an airspace.An altitude buffer is also provided which “expands” the vertical range above or belowan airspace. For example, if the buffer is set at 500 feet, and you are more than 500 feetabove or below an airspace, you will not be notified with an alert message; if you are lessthan 500 feet above or below an airspace and projected to enter it, you will be notifiedwith an alert message.
