U SING XM WX WEATHERThis section describes how to use XM WX Satellite Weather withyour GPSMAP 376C. You must have a subscription to XM WXWeather, and you must plug your GXM 30 antenna into the USBport on the back of the unit to receive the XM signal. If you do nothave a subscription to XM WX Weather, the features described inthis section work only when the GPSMAP 376C is in SimulatorMode (see page 11) and the GXM 30 antenna is unplugged.You can view XM WX Weather on your GPSMAP 376C in one ofthree ways:• To view all weather information on the map, Use the MapPage.• To view a specific weather feature such as NEXRAD Radar orStorm Cells, for example, you can use the Weather tab on theMain Menu. For more information, see page 98.• To view current weather conditions and forecast informationfor your current location or a specific location, use theWeather Data option on the Find menu. For more information,see page 101.Viewing XM WX WeatherFrom the Map Page, you can turn weather information on or off.To turn XM WX Weather on or off on the Map Page:Press and hold the MENU/Wx key to toggle XM Weather onor off.OrPress MENU, select Hide (Show) Weather, and then pressENTER.Map Page with XM WX WeatherSetting XM WX Weather OptionsUse the Map Page options menu to adjust the way weather itemsappear on the Map Page. Three tabs—Weather, Srfc Wx, and MrnWx—allow you to adjust what weather items appear on the MapPage, and the scale at which they appear.
