Alerts are provided according to thefollowing conditions:• If your projected course will take you inside an airspace within thenext ten minutes, the alert message “AIRSPACE ALERT - Airspace entryin less than 10 minutes” appears. The Nearest Airspace Page shows theairspace as “Airspace Ahead”.• If you are within two nautical miles of an airspace and your currentcourse will take you inside, the message “AIRSPACE ALERT - Within2nm of airspace” appears. The Nearest Airspace Page shows the air-space as “Airspace Within 2 NM”.• If you are within two nautical miles of an airspace and your currentcourse will take you inside in less than 10 minutes, the message “AIR-SPACE ALERT - Airspace within 2nm and entry in less than 10 minutes”appears. The Nearest Airspace Page shows the airspace as “Ahead <2 NM”.• If you have entered an airspace, the message “AIRSPACE ALERT -Inside Airspace” appears. The Nearest Airspace Page shows “Inside ofairspace”.Note that the airspace alerts are based on three-dimensional data (latitude,longitude and altitude) to avoid nuisance alerts. The alert boundaries forcontrolled airspace are also sectorized to provide complete information onany nearby airspace. Once one of the described conditions exists, the messageannunciator flashes, alerting you of an airspace message (if airspace alert messagesare enabled).
