Using the Highway Page (continued)While navigating, you may use the Compass Page(see picture below left) instead of the Highway Page.To select the Compass Page:1. While viewing the Highway Page press F twice.The Compass Page will now become the displayednavigation page. This page provides a directional point-er to your destination by using a compass display toshow direction of travel. This provides better steeringguidance at slower speeds for travel with many direc-tional changes.To return to the Highway Page, press ENTER twice.Cancelling a GOTOIf you decide to stop navigating to the active way-point waypoint, all you have to do is cancel the GOTO.To cancel an active GOTO:1. Press the G key.2. Use the arrow keypad to move the field highlight to the‘CANCEL GOTO?’ prompt at the bottom of the page andpress F.Using the Sounder PageNow that you have learned the basics of GPSNavigation, let’s briefly look at how the GPS 125Sounder works for you as a fishfinder. The fishfindingfeatures are covered in detail on pg. 37-40.The top of the Sounder Page shows the range modebeing used, the water temperature (if using a tempera-ture-sensitive transducer), and the digital depth, whilethe middle of the page contains a right-to-left movingsonar image of the water beneath your boat. (Note:items appear as they pass under your transducer. Thoseobjects appearing on the right side of the screen arecloser to you than those objects on the left.) Fish aredisplayed as a darkened arch or a fish icon in three dif-ferent sizes. Thermoclines (layers of water separatingwarmer water above and cooler water below) appear asdotted patterns just above the bottom.Highway/Sounder Page &Cancelling GOTOGETTINGSTARTED14The 125 Sounder will alsoprovide steering guidancewith a graphic CompassPage.To change the display fromthe Highway Page, pressENTER twice.Once a GOTO is activated,the GPS 125 Sounder pro-vides steering guidanceuntil the GOTO is canceled.To cancel a GOTO, high-light the cancel prompt atthe bottom of the page andpress ENTER.
