These settings create athree-dimensional profile that guides you from yourpresent position and altitude to a final (target) altitudeat a specified location.To use the vertical navigation feature, your groundspeed must be greater than 35 knots and you must benavigating a Go To or a route.Once the VNAV profile is defined, watch for the tealbar on the HSI and pay attention to the alerts to helpkeep you informed of your progress.As you approach the initial descent point, the time tovertical navigation field (ETV) indicates the time toreach the initial descent point.The descent angle locks to prevent changes in speedfrom altering the profile.
