38CARE AND CLEANINGWARNING: Never hold your face or other body parts over the feed chute when themotor is running because little pieces of food could be thrown out of the feed chute.Never put foreign substance or hard objects into the feed chute.Before the mincer is used for the first time and after each use, all parts – with the excep-tion of the motor housing – must be thoroughly cleaned in warm soapy water. In case ofblockage proceed according to the instructions in the ›Trouble shooting guide‹.DISASSEMBLING THE APPLIANCEWARNING: To avoid injury and damages of the appliance turn the appliance off(by turning the control switch to STANDBY - picture A) and then wait for approx. 6seconds to be certain that the motor is no longer running. Always pull the plug beforeyou start disassembling or cleaning the appliance.1. Switch off the mincer and disconnect the power supply cable from the mains. Checkthat the motor has completely stopped.2. Take the pusher and the feed pan of the feed chute.3. Loosen the screw plug on the right side of the mincer byturning it counterclockwise until you can take the wormhousing out of the motor housing without any resistance(picture B).4. Loosen the closing ring by turning it counterclockwise Ifthe closing ring is screwed on too tight you can use theprovided spanner to loosen the closing ring.5. Take the closing ring of the worm housing and take theaccessories (worm, crossed-blade knife and grinding discor the sausage filling attachment and the adaptor disc)out of the worm housing.Note:If the tools got stuck knock the mincer carefully on a stable cutting board. The grindingdisc should be facing up.ATTENTION: Be careful not to damage your bench top, the cutting board or themincer.6. Remove meat residues. Operate as described:ATTENTION: Never put the motor housing or the accessories in the dishwasher oruse abrasives for cleaning! This will cause discolouration and corrosion and damage themotor.7. Wash all parts thoroughly in warm soapy water. Do not use aggressive detergents.
