May 2018 Service and Repair ManualScissor ComponentsPart No. 1272219 GS™-2669 RT • GS™-3369 RT • GS™-4069 RT 213-1Scissor Assembly, GS-2669 RTHow to Disassemble the ScissorAssemblyBodily injury hazard. Thisprocedure requires specific repairskills, lifting equipment and asuitable workshop. Attemptingthis procedure without these skillsand tools could result in death orserious injury and significantcomponent damage. Dealerservice is strongly recommended.Note: When removing a hose assembly or fitting, the O-ring (if equipped) on the fitting and/or hoseend must be replaced. All connections must betorqued to specification during installation. Refer toSpecifications, Hydraulic Hose and Fitting TorqueSpecifications.Note: This procedure will require an overheadlifting device capable of supporting 1000 lbs / 454kg.1 Remove the platform. Refer to RepairProcedure, How to Remove the Platform.2 Remove the retaining fasteners that attach theladder to the drive chassis. Remove the ladderand set aside.3 Remove the cables from the linkageassembly.Component damage hazard.Cables can be damaged if theyare kinked or pinched.4 Using a suitable supporting device, attach astrap to the rod end of the lift cylinder. Do notapply pressure.5 Remove the lift cylinder rod end pivot pinretaining fasteners.6 Using a soft metal drift, remove the pivot pin.7 Lower the lift cylinder and remove the strap.8 Using an overhead lifting device attach a 4hook sling chain to the ends of the number 3inner arm. Make the chains tight but do notapply lifting pressure.Crushing hazard. The linkageassembly could becomeunbalanced and fall if notproperly supported whenremoved from the machine.9 Remove the retaining fasteners from thenumber 3 pivot pins.Note: Do not remove the external snap ring.10 Using a soft metal drift, remove the pivot pinsand set aside.11 Carefully lift the linkage assembly off of themachine and place it on a structure capable ofsupporting it.12 Using an overhead lifting device attach a 4hook sling chain to the ends of the number 2inner arm. Make the chains tight but do notapply lifting pressure.Crushing hazard. The linkageassembly could becomeunbalanced and fall if notproperly supported whenremoved from the machine.
