Getting Started 1-9Connecting to AC Power and Charging theBatteryBe sure to fully charge the battery before using your device for the first time.1. Plug the DC cord of the AC adapter into the power connector of thedevice (n).2. Plug the female end of the AC power cord into the AC adapter and themale end into an electrical outlet (o).3. The charge indicator glows in amber when charging is in progress. Donot disconnect your device from AC power until the battery is fullycharged, as indicated by the amber indicator turning into green. This willtake a couple of hours.CAUTION: For optimal performance of the lithium battery, take note of thefollowing:z Use the included AC adapter only.z There is no need to fully discharge the battery before charging. You cancharge the battery before it is discharged.z Do not charge the battery where the temperature is high (e.g. in directsunlight).
