92When the MPU works properly, the RUN LED (callout 7 in Figure 56) flashes in green. When the RUNLED is off, steady on, or flashes in red, the MPU fails. Follow these steps to troubleshoot the MPU:Step1 Check that the power supply works properly. For more information, see “Power supply system failure.”Step2 Press the RESET button of the MPU to reset the MPU. After the MPU is reset, check whether thecorresponding RUN LED flashes green.Step3 Check whether the MPU is fully seated. You can unplug the MPU, plug it again, and make sure that theMPU is fully seated.Step4 If the switch has empty MPU slots, plug the MPU into an empty MPU slot, and check that the MPU canwork properly.Step5 If the failure still exists, contact the local agents or technical support engineers.LPU failureWhen the LPU works properly, the LC LED (callout 3 in Figure 56) flashes, and the RUN LED on the LPUflashes in green.When the two LEDs are not in the states mentioned above, the LPU fails. Follow these steps to troubleshootthe LPU:Step1 Check that the MPU works properly. For more information, see “MPU failure.”Step2 Use the display device command to check whether the software version is compatible with the LPU in thecurrent slot. If the software version is incompatible with the LPU, upgrade the software to a compatibleversion.Step3 Calculate the overall power consumption, and make sure that your power supply can provide enoughpower.Step4 Check whether the LPU is fully seated.
