Wear an ESD wrist strap and make sure it makes good skin contact and is reliably grounded.2. Unpack the power module and verify that the power module model is as required.3. Remove the filler panel (if any) from the target slot. As shown in Figure 22, use a Phillipsscrewdriver to loosen the screws on the filler panel and thread the screwdriver shaft through thehandle to pull the filler panel out of the slot.Figure 22 Removing the filler panel4. Orient the power module with the lettering on it upright. Grasp the handle of the power modulewith one hand and support its bottom with the other, and slide the power module slowly into theslot along the guide rails. See callout 1 in Figure 23.To prevent damage to the power module and the connector on the switch backplane, insert thepower module gently. If you encounter a hard resistance or the power module tilts whileinserting the power module, pull out the power module, realign it with the slot, and then insert itagain.5. Fasten the captive screws on the power module with a Phillips screwdriver to secure the powermodule in the chassis.
