36Maintenance and troubleshootingFixed power module failureThe switches (except the S5560S-28F-SI, S5560S-28DP-SI, and S5130S-28F-SI models) use fixedpower modules. The S5130S-28S-HPWR-LI, S5130S-52S-PWR-LI, S5120V2-28P-HPWR-LI,S5120V2-52P-PWR-LI, S5024PV3-EI-HPWR, S5048PV3-EI-PWR, and S3100V3-28TP-PWR-SIswitches support AC power input, RPS power input, and concurrent AC and RPS DC inputs. Theother switch models support only AC power input. To identify a power failure on the switch, examine the system status LED and the RPS status LED onthe switch.Table 10 Description for the power failure indication LEDsLED Mark Status DescriptionSystem status LED SYS Off The switch is powered off.RPS status LED(available only on theS5130S-28S-HPWR-LI,S5130S-52S-PWR-LI,S5120V2-28P-HPWR-LI,S5120V2-52P-PWR-LI,S5048PV3-EI-PWR, andS3100V3-28TP-PWR-SIswitches)RPSSteady green Both the RPS input and the AC input are normal.Steady yellow Normal RPS input, no or abnormal AC input.Off No or abnormal DC input.Input failure on an AC-powered switchSymptomThe system status LED on an AC-powered switch is off.SolutionTo resolve the issue:1. Verify that the AC power cord is securely connected to the switch, and the AC-input powerreceptacle on the switch and the connected AC power outlet are in good condition.2. Verify that the AC power source is operating correctly.3. Verify that the operating temperature of the switch is in the acceptable range, and the powermodule has good ventilation. Over-temperature can cause the power module to stop workingand enter protection state.4. If the issue persists, contact H3C Support.Input failure on an RPS-powered switchSymptomThe system status LED or RPS status LED on the RPS-powered switch is offSolutionTo resolve the issue:1. Verify that the switch is securely connected to the RPS.
