There is a risk that thecooking zone could be activated and theobject heated.Automatic protection settingsThe hob has a number of protective devic-es to prevent it from being damaged duringoperation. If the hob is properly installed andused, these protection settings will rarely beused.Automatic reduction in performanceThe temperature of the electronic elementsinside the hob are constantly measured usinga sensor.If the heat increases too much, the hob is au-tomatically switched off.Operating time limitFor safety reasons, each cooking zone is pro-vided with an operating time limit. If the heatsetting is not changed for a prolonged peri-od of time, the cooking zone is automaticallyswitched off and the residual heat symbol ‘H’is activated.The maximum operating time is set in accord-ance with the most recently selected heat set-ting.Heat setting Maximum operating dura-tion in hours1 82 83 84 45 46 47 28 29 2Residual heat displayDuring cooking, the heat from the pot is trans-ferred to the glass ceramic surface of thecooking zone and the cooking zone becomeshot. When you switch the hob off, the residualheat symbol ‘H’ in the heat setting display willbegin to blink.HA few seconds later, the hob will shut off en-tirely. All indicators will go out. The residualheat symbol ‘H’ will continue to blink only forhobs that have been recently used.H
