13HARDI® COMMANDER OPERATOR’S MANUALWheel tread adjustmentsAltering the wheel track widthThe track width of the COMMANDER Plus can beadjusted as follows:1. Measure the current track (center RH tire to centerLH tire). Each side must be extended or retractedhalf the desired adjustment.2. Attach the sprayer to tractor and engage tractorparking brake.3. Place wheel stops in front of and behind the RHwheel. Jack up the LH wheel, support and securethe sprayer frame.4. Loosen the axle clamp bolts A for the LH wheel axle.5. Extend or retract the axle as needed.IMPORTANT! Place the jack under the axle and lift thewheel to remove any load from the axle clamps beforetightening the axle clamp bolts to the specified torque.6. Tighten the clamp bolts to a torque of:207 Ft/lb (280 Nm) for CM+ 750289 Ft/lb (390 Nm) for CM+ 12007. Repeat the procedure for the RH wheel.8. Make sure the distance from the center of the tire tothe center of the tank frame is equal on RH and LHsides.9. Retighten the axle clamp bolts and wheel bolts tospecified torque after 10 hours of operation.Sprayer setupAAIMPORTANT! With Drawbar Steeringmodels, a minimum track width of72” is required to ensure stabilityand to prevent the sprayer fromtipping over.Note: The wider the track width, the better is thestability of the sprayer and boom.
