38 HARDI® New NAVIGATOR OPERATOR’S MANUALLevel indicator adjustmentThe level indicator reading should be checked regu larly.When the tank is empty,the float should lie on thestop pin of the rod, andthe O-ring on the indicatorshould be positioned atthe top position line(AFig 43).If any deviation is found,pull out the plug (BFig 43),loosen screws (CFig 43),and adjust the length of thecord.Cord replacement, level indicatorIf the cord on the level indicator has to be changed, thefl oat guide pole is removed:1. Remove the tank drain valve (see paragraph “Maintank drain valve”) and loosen the fitting holding thepole in position.2. Pull the pole down through the drain valve hole till itis free in the top of the tank.3. The pole can now be taken out of the tank throughthe filling hole.DANGER! Do not at tempt to enter the tank - thefl oat pole can be removed from outside the tank!Seal replacement, drain valveIf the main tank drain valve leaks, the seal and seat canbe changed the following way.DANGER! Do not enter the inside of the tank- the parts can be changed from underneath thetank!WARNING! Use eye / face protection maskwhen dismantling the tank drain valve!1. Make sure the tank is empty and clean.2. The valve must be closed and the string loose.Main te nanceACBFig 43Fig 443. Pull out the clip (AFig 44)and pull down connectingpiece (BFig 44). Theentire valve assemblycan now be pulled out.4. Check cord and valvefl ap as sembly (CFig 44)for wear, replace seal (DFig 44) andassemble again.5. Assemble the valve assembly againusing a new valve seat (EFig 44).Lubri cate O-rings (FFig 44) beforeassembly.6. Fit clip (AFig 44) again.NOTE! Check the function of thevalve with clean water before fillingchemicals into the tank.Nozzle tubes and fi ttingsPoor seals are usually caused by:- missing O-rings or gaskets- damaged or incorrectly seated O-rings- dry or deformed O-rings or gaskets- foreign bodiesIn case of leaks:DO NOT overtighten.Disassemble, check conditionand position of O-ring or gasket.Clean, lubricate and reassemble.The O-ring must be lubricatedALL THE WAY ROUND beforefi tting on to the nozzle tube. Usenon-mineral lubricant.For RADIAL connections only hand-tighten them.For AXIAL connections, a little mechanical leveragemay be used.
