18 PLAYER/RADIO MENUPlayer/Radio MenuUsing the Status Bar MenuThe on-screen Status Bar contains many playbackfeatures. To see the Status Banner Menu, pressSTATUS D on the remote control while a disc isplaying. Use the ARROW 9 buttons on theremote to move through the different features inthe Status Bar. When a feature is highlighted,press ENTER 6 on the remote to select it andto change it with the help of the options listedon the screen. Press ENTER 6 to activate thechange.Title: The number shown indicates the numberof the title that is currently playing.Chapter: The number shown indicates thenumber of the chapter that is currently playingon a disc.Time: This item displays the time in DVD mode.To change the Time mode, first move the cursorto the TIME. The current mode will behighlighted.Press ENTER and the ARROW button toactivate: Title Elapsed, Title Remaining, ChapterElapsed, Chapter Remaining. Depending on thechoice made, the bar will show a graphic view onwhere the disc is currently playing.PLAYER MenuOnce all the settings have been made, you areready to enjoy your HS 100. Once you haveinserted a disc into the drawer you can explorethe PLAYER Menu. This menu hosts all playbackand program features, as well as all discinformation. As you will see, the layout of thismenu is comparable to the SET-UP Menu. Thefunctionality is the same too. The Submenus areshown on the left side of the screen, with INFOand PROGRAM activated by default. As in theSET-UP Menu, settings can be highlighted withthe ARROW 9 buttons and selected with theENTER 6 button on the remote control.Options for the settings are shown in the LowerMenu Line on the bottom of the screen.Disc: Shows the name of the disc given by theartist.Audio: Shows the audio track that is currentlyplaying. Options are shown on both Menu Lineson the bottom of the screen.Playlist: Sets the order in which the current discis played back.Repeat: Sets the repeat mode.Random: Activates Random Playback whenpossible.Subtitle: Shows the subtitle of the disc currentlyplaying.In the PLAYER Menu, the chapter, track or picturecurrently playing will be marked with an arrowsymbol in front of the Chapter (DVD), Track (CD,MP3, WMA) or Picture (JPEG). Chapters, tracksand pictures can be selected from this list at anytime by moving the cursor to the desired chapteror track and pressing ENTER 6 to confirm.The top part of this screen can be de-activated toshow the complete Track list on the screen. Tode-activate, move the cursor to the upper INFO(or i INFO) Submenu on the left side of thescreen. Press ENTER 6 until the icon ishighlighted in light blue and the full Track list isvisible on the screen. In the same way the Disclist can be removed from the screen by de-activating the PROGRAM Submenu.When the HS 100 is in play mode, pressing thePLAY button on the remote control will highlightthe track being played.Information DisplaysIn DVD and MP3 mode, activating the DISC INFO(DVD) or ID3 INFO (MP3) Submenu will showinformation about the player and the disccurrently playing. The first lines will show DiscName and Disc ID. Below you can compare theAspect Ratio, Video Standard and Scan Typeavailable on the disc with the actual output ofyour player or ID3 info for MP3 files.In the lower part of the screen the AudioResolution and Audio Format are shown, (DVDonly) and at the bottom a graphical presentationof the Video Bit Rate (DVD only) and the AudioBit Rate of the disc currently playing.Programmed PlayIn STOP mode, the Disc List can be used to createyour own program list for DVD, CD, MP3, WMAor JPEG discs. Move the cursor to the right of themenu, into the Disc List. If the disc list is notactive, move the cursor to the PROGRAM icon onthe left to activate. Move the cursor to the DiscList, and select clear to clear the current list.Once the disc list is clear move the cursor up ordown to the first track you would like to programand press ENTER 6. The cursor will move tothe options in the Lower Menu Line. You caneither add the selected track (or picture) to theplaylist or give it the number you would like it tohave in your playlist, or clear the track from thelist. Move the cursor down to the next track youwould like to program and continue until yourplaylist is complete. Once completed, move thecursor up to the Playlist setting. SelectProgrammed order from the options and pressPLAY to start the playback.If you have a disc that contains both MP3 filesand JPEG images, you can choose to run thesesimultaneously, mixing the MP3 audio with yourown images. The time interval can be chosen inthe Picture Setting.Also you can have the image files follow theaudio signal: at the end of each audio track, thenext JPEG image will be shown.With such discs, you can also either listen to theMP3 audio or watch the JPEG video files only. Inorder to do so, click on the AUDIO or PICTUREicons on the left part of the screen to select ordeselect the desired format. Once done, thetracklist will only show the MP3 or JPEG files.Radio MenuThe FM Tuner in the HS 100 can be used to listento the Radio. Before listening to the radiostations, you need to preset your favoritestations. The easiest way to do so is with the OSDscreen on your monitor.1. Press the ON button 0 on the remotecontrol to turn the DVD Receiver on. Makesure that the Main Power Switch on the frontpanel is in the On position, shown by the blueLED surrounding the button. Also make surethat your video monitor connected to theHS 100 is switched on.2. Press the RADIO button on the remotecontrol or SOURCE 4 on the front panelrepeatedly, to select the FM Radio. The TVmonitor will show the RADIO Menu, as shownbelow. You can also select the RADIO Menuwith the ARROW 9 keys on the remotecontrol. Once the RADIO tab is highlighted,press ENTER 6 to access the RADIO Menu. |
