Unpacking and Installation / Rear Panel Connections3Unpacking and InstallationThe carton and shipping materials usedin protecting your new amplifier werespecially designed to cushion it from theshocks and vibration of shipping. Wesuggest that you save the carton andpacking materials for use in shipping ifyou move or if the unit ever needs repair. To minimize the size of the carton instorage, you may wish to flatten it.Carefully remove any staples used toclose carton seams; carefully slit the tapeon the bottom and collapse the carton.Other cardboard inserts may be stored inthe same manner. Packing materials thatcannot be collapsed should be savedalong with the carton in a plastic bag. When positioning the amplifier in itsfinal location, make certain that it hasadequate ventilation on all sides, as wellas on the top and bottom. Do not placeCDs, record jackets, owner’s manuals orother paper on top of, or beneath theunit, or in between multiple amplifiers ina stack. This will block the air flow, caus-ing degraded performance and a possiblefire hazard. If the unit is to be enclosedin a cabinet or rack, make certain thatthere is adequate air circulation, withmeans provided for hot air to exit and forcool air to be brought in.¡ Speaker Outputs: Connections from these terminals should be made to the appropriate speakers in your system.™ Audio Inputs: Connect the outputs of the PT2500, ADP303 or other surround processor, preamplifier or decoder tothese jacks.£ AC Power Cord: Connect this plug to a wall-mounted AC outlet.
