Studythe documentation carefully.If the documentation refers you to information about your computer's I/O addresses,system interrupt requests (IRQs), or DMA channel assignments, see “Appendix A.Specification tables” on page A-1.For conflicts with system resources used by adaptercardsIf you install new hardware in your system, it might attempt to use a systemresource that is already assigned.If you install a PCI adapter card, the system BIOS automatically detects it, assignsan available system resource to it, and configures your computer to use the card.Follow the procedure in the section “Resolving resource conflicts” on page 5-4.For conflicts with other system resourcesIf you install hardware that creates conflicts with other system resources, you mayreceive an error message the first time you turn on your computer after you haveinstalled the new hardware.
