The System x3400 M3 serverThis Installation and User's Guide contains instructions for setting up your IBMSystem x3400 M3 Type 7378/7379 server, instructions for installing optionaldevices, and instructions for starting and configuring the server. For diagnostic andtroubleshooting information, see the Problem Determination and Service Guide thatis on the IBM Documentation CD.The IBM ® System x3400 M3 Type 7378/7379 server is a 5U 1-high high performanceserver. It can be upgraded to a symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) server through amicroprocessor upgrade. It is ideally suited for networking environments that requiresuperior microprocessor performance, efficient memory management, flexibility, andlarge amounts of reliable data storage.Performance, ease of use, reliability, and expansion capabilities were keyconsiderations in the design of the server. These design features make it possiblefor you to customize the system hardware to meet your needs today and provideflexible expansion capabilities for the future.The server comes with a limited warranty.
