If you cannot find the problem in the troubleshooting charts, run the diagnosticprograms. If you have run the diagnostic test programs, or if running the testsdoes not reveal the problem, call for service.Setup Suggested actionSetup and Installation CD will notstart.• Ensure that the system is a supported server with a startable (bootable)CD-ROM drive.• If the startup (boot) sequence settings have been altered, be sure the CD-ROM is first in the boot sequence.• If more than one CD-ROM drive is installed, ensure that only one drive isset as the primary drive. Start the CD from the primary drive.ServeRAID program cannot view allinstalled drives - or - cannot installNOS.• Ensure that there are no duplicate SCSI IDs or IRQ assignments.• Ensure that the hard disk drive is connected properly.The Operating System Installationprogram continuously loops.Free up more space on the hard disk.ServerGuide will not start your NOSCD.Ensure that the NOS CD you have is supported by ServerGuide. See the Setupand Installation CD label for a list of NOS versions supported.Cannot install NOS - option is grayedout.Either there is no logical drive defined (ServeRAID systems) or theServerGuide System Partition is not present.
