An IP address may be supplied for the console when using a directly attached local console with orwithout remote support. This is to provide the user with a convenient method when the default addressis already in use on the PC.Note: An initial local console on a network configuration is configured for only the console. The remotecontrol panel is not enabled automatically. This is where you turn on or off any of the functions asneeded. Also, the remote control panel option is not available until the configured connection issuccessfully connected for the first time and permissions have been verified.The Device ID tab is no longer available. The PC automatically handles any resets necessary. Thesystem’s service tools device ID must be reset separately only if the option Autocreate service tools deviceIDs has been set to zero. The access password is used, inpart, to authenticate the device making the connection. If you manually change this password, the systemwill no longer manage the access password and you might be required to enter it each time you make aconnection. For example, the confirming a delete function dialog window will not be displayed if this isnot selected.v Prerequisite Warning The dialog presented during the configuration wizard concerning therequirements can be turned off using this option.v Use Single Sign-on This option provides the ability to share common signon data when connectingmultiple configurations at the same time. This allows the use of a single signon dialog window insteadof one for each connection.v Double-Click This option has two items associated with it. The first is for expanding or collapsing thetree structure, the + (plus sign) control. Instead of a single click to expand or collapse you can changethe function to use a double-click.
