Removing the covers of the laser product could result inexposure to hazardous laser radiation. Touch the static-protective package that contains the drive to any unpaintedmetal surface on the server; then, remove the drive from the package andplace it on a static-protective surface.7. Set any jumpers or switches on the drive according to the documentation thatcomes with the drive.8. Remove the drive retainer clip (on the front of the chassis) for the bay in whichyou want to install the drive (see the illustration on page 27). Slide the driveretainer clip to the right to remove it from the chassis; then, snap the driveretainer clip into the screw holes on the side of the drive (the blue side of thedrive clip should be facing outward).9. Align the drive assembly with the guide rails in the bay. Push the drive into thebay.10. Connect one end of the signal cable into the back of the drive and make surethat the other end of this cable is connected into the SATA attached connectoron the system board.11. Route the signal cable so that it does not block the airflow to the rear of thedrives or over the microprocessor and DIMMs.12. If you have another drive to install or remove, do so now.13. Connect the power cable to the back of the drive.
