17HOW TO USE A CROSS TRAINING WORKOUT1. Insert the key into the console.See HOW TO TURN ON THE POWER on page14.2. Select a cross training workout.To select across train-ing workout,press theCrossTrainingWorkouts button repeatedly until the desired work-out appears in the displays.The left display will show the duration, the maxi-mum speed setting, and the maximum incline set-ting of the workout. The right display will show thename of the workout and the profile of the speedsettings of the workout.3. Press the Quick Start button to start the work-out.A moment after you press the button, the treadmillwill automatically adjust to the first speed and in-cline settings of the workout. Hold the handrailsand begin walking.After the walking beltstarts moving, the rightdisplay will ask whetheryou want to include theworkout towards yourmonthly challenge goal.To include the workout,press the button below the word YES in the dis-play. Then select either user 1 or user 2 in thesame way and the workout will continue. If you se-lect NO, the workout will continue. Note: The con-sole can track workout history information for twodifferent users. Once you determine which useryou will be, continue to select that user each timeyou use the treadmill. After you have selected user1 or user 2, your user number will be saved inmemory for the remainder of the workout session.Each workout is divided into segments. One speedsetting and one incline setting are programmed formost segments. During other segments, the consolewill prompt you to perform strength exercises. Note:The same speed and/or incline setting may be pro-grammed for consecutive segments.During the workout, theprofile will show yourprogress. The flashingsegment of the profilerepresents the currentsegment of the workout.The height of the flashing segment indicates thespeed setting for the current segment. At the end ofeach segment, a series of tones will sound and thenew speed setting, new incline setting, and the nextsegment of the profile will flash in the display.The workout will continue in this way until the lastsegment of the profile flashes in the right displayand the last segment ends. The walking belt willthen slow to a stop.If the speed or incline setting is too high or too lowat any time during the workout, you can manuallyoverride the setting by pressing the speed or inclinebuttons; however, when the next segment of theworkout begins, the treadmill will automaticallyadjust to the speed and incline settings for thenext segment.To stop the workout at any time, press the Stopbutton. To restart the workout, press the Quick Startbutton or the Speed increase button. The walkingbelt will begin to move at 1 mph. When the nextsegment of the workout begins, the treadmill will au-tomatically adjust to the speed and incline settingsfor the next segment.Current Segment
