Locate flame cylinder drum (see Figure15). Locate the cotter pin on leftside of flame cylinder and remove it.Remove outer plastic sleeve of drumby removing the (3) screws on the rightside of the sleeve. Disconnect the leftside of the flame cylinder drum fromthe motor, and slide the outer sleeveoff. you will have access to the LEDstrip (see Figure 16). NOTE: do notexert excessive pressure on the drumcylinder as this may cause damage.iv. Using needle-nose pliers, squeeze theplastic clips holding the LED strips inplace and push them through the holesin the LED strip. Unclip the wires fromthe LED strip and remove it.6. Reinstall all components that were removed(reverse Steps 1-5).LED Strip Replacement Procedure:• 2 LED strips provide illumination for theember bed and 1 LED strip provides illumi-nation for the flame generation assembly.• Replacement LED strips are availablethrough IHP (see Page 17).1. Turn off power to the fireplace.2. Let the fireplace cool, if it has been operat-ing.3. (If optional glass panel enclosure isinstalled) Remove glass panel per instruc-tions provided in kit.4. Remove the 2 screws on the front of thegrate (see Figure 10). Remove Grate.5. Lift out log/ember assembly by tilting for-ward and firmly pulling on back of emberbed assembly. It should pop out fromtrack and lift out. Caution: Be careful notto scratch the finish.Access LED strips as follows:Use gloves or cloth when handling bulbsto prevent oils from your skin damagingbulbs when heated.a. Ember Bed LED Strips-i. With the ember bed removed, the 2ember bed LED strips will be visible(see Figure 11).ii. Using needle-nose pliers, squeeze theplastic clips holding the LED stripsin place and push them through theholes in the LED strips (see Figure 12).Unclip the wires from the LED stripsand remove them. Insert new LEDstrips and re-connect the associatedwiring.iii. Plug in power cord or connect powerto appliance. Turn on power to testLEDs. Disconnect power.iv.
