Using one hand to hold the handle of theheater/blower assembly, slowly push itback up and line up the holes for the 5screws. Install the 5 screws to securethe new heater/blower assembly to themounting plate.7. (If brick panel was removed) Reverse instruc-tions on Step 4.8. Reinstall glass panel enclosure, if applicable.CLEANING THE GLASS ENCLOSUREPANEL (OPTIONAL KIT)Over time the front glass panel may becomedirty or dusty. Dust can be removed by lightlyrubbing the glass surface with a clean, lint freecloth or paper towel. To remove fingerprintsor other marks, use a damp cloth with a goodquality household glass cleaner. The front glasspanel should be completely dried with a clean,lint free cloth or paper towel.CAUTIONDisconnect power beforeattempting any maintenanceor cleaning to reduce the risk offire, electrical shock or personalinjury.WARNINGWhen cleaning the fireplace, thefireplace must be cool.WARNINGAn authorized service represen-tative should perform any otherservicing.CAUTIONHandle glass very carefully toprevent accidental breakage.CAUTIONDo not use abrasive cleaners onthe glass panel. Do not sprayliquids directly onto any surfaceof the fireplace.3. Open the screens (remove glass panelenclosure, if applicable).4. OPTIONAL: To ensure that the brick panelisn't accidentally scratched, you may wishto remove it before proceeding:Brick Panel Removal Procedure:a. Remove the 2 screws on the front of thegrate. Remove Grate (see Figure 6).b. Lift out Log / Ember assembly and setaside. Caution: Be careful not to scratchthe finish.c. Remove the top brick panel retainingbracket (see Figure 13, Page 10). Bevery careful to hold the bracket whenremoving the 2 screws to ensure thebracket doesn't fall.d. Remove the left and right side brick panelretaining brackets (see Figure 13, Page10). Be very careful to hold the bracketwhen removing. Remove the bottomscrew first to avoid the frame fallingdown after both screws are removed.TAKE CARE TO HOLD BRICK PANELIN PLACE TO PREVENT POSSIBLEDAMAGE.Suggestion: Slide the screens toward themiddle of the fireplace for easier accessto the screws on the sides. Return thescreens to the sides before proceedingto instruction e.e. Tip brick panel forward from the top,just enough to clear screens. Carefullyremove brick panel from firebox and setaside in a safe place.5. Remove the screws which secure the heaterblower mounting plate using a phillipsscrewdriver as follows (see Figures 7 and8):a. While using one hand to hold the handle ofthe heater/blower assembly (see Figure7), remove the 5 screws which securethe mounting plate. Remove the 4 sidescrews first (2 on each side). Removethe middle screw that is on the top ofthe handle last.b. Slowly lower the heater/blower assemblyand let it rest on the 2 support chains (1on each side).IMPORTANT NOTE: Label all wire loca-tions prior to disconnecting to ensurethat wires are reconnected in the correctpositions.6. Replace the heater/blower as follows:a. Replace the old heater/blower with thenew one. NOTE: When replacing theheater/blower, ensure that all the wireson the heater are correct, otherwise theheater will not function properly.Figure 6Grate
