11Non-Vented (recirculating) Installation Through theSoffit/CabinetMeasure and mark the centerline location for the cutout in thecabinet top. Use a saber saw or keyhole saw to cut anopening for the vent.Measure and mark the centerline of the cabinet to the soffitabove.Measure from the bottom of the cabinet to the centerline ofthe where the vent will come through the soffit. Mark thelocation and use a saber saw or keyhole saw to cut a 5¾"(14.6 cm) hole for the vent cover. Attach the vent cover usingtwo 4.5 x 13 mm #2 Phillips screws.For non-vented (recirculating) installations only, the rangehood can be vented indoors through the top of the cabinet.For non-vented (recirculating) installations, charcoal filters arenecessary. See the “Range Hood Care” section forinstructions on installing charcoal filters.The Charcoal Filter Kit Part Number W10272068 must beused.Complete Preparation2.
