INSTALLATIONmini HE --- Installation & Servicing 2931 GAS CONVERSION1 Disconnect the electrical supply.2 Replace the burner injectors as explained in frame 43.3 Re---assemble the burner, the front panel of thecombustion chamber and the lid of the sealed chamber.4 Remove the service panel (frame 27 step 4).5 Set correctly the dip ---switch ”2” to the correct position inaccordance with the following table and drawing.Gas supply Position of dip --- switch 2Natural gas OnPropane OffONOFF1 2 3 4ONOFF123 4Natural gas L.P.G.6 Adjust the burner pressures according to the indicationsgiven in frame 27.7 Stick the self ---adhesive label (included with theconversion kit, indicating the type of gas, and the gaspressures to which the appliance has been set) over theexisting label on the bottom of the control panel.8 Replace the service panel and the front and side panels ofthe case.9 Check the correct operation of the boiler.32 HANDING OVERAfter completing the installation and commissioning of thesystem, the installer should hand over to the householder bythe following actions:1 Hand the User’s Instructions to the householder andexplain his or her responsibilities under the Gas Safety(Installation and Use) Regulations 1994 and amendments1996 or rules in force.2 Draw attention to the Lighting Instruction label affixed tothe inside of the lower front door.3 Explain and demonstrate the lighting and shutting downprocedures.4 The operation of the boiler and the use and adjustment ofALL system controls should be fully explained to thehouseholder, to ensure the greatest possible fueleconomy consistent with household requirements of bothheating and hot water consumption.5 Advise the user of the precautions necessary to preventdamage to the system and to the building, in the event ofthe system remaining inoperative during frosty conditions.6 If a programmer is fitted, draw attention to theProgrammer Instructions and hand them to thehouseholder.7 After installation and commissioning please complete theCommissioning Checklist before handover tothe customer.For IE, it is necessary to complete a “Declaration ofConformity” to indicate compliance to I.S. 813:2002.8 Stress the importance of regular servicing by a CORGIregistered installer and that a comprehensive serviceshould be carried out AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR.In IE, servicing work must be carried out by a competentperson.Emphasise to the user that the boiler may stop working if thesystem pressure is lowered by draining radiators todecorate behind them. In particular, explain to the user howthe domestic hot water temperature varies with flow rate.This is especially important when water is drawn off whilethe boiler is already running for central heating.INSTALLATION
