Do not block any ventilationopenings. Install in accordancewith the manufacturer’s instructions.8. Do not install near any heat sourcessuch as radiators, heat registers, stovesor other apparatus (including amplifiers)that produce heat.9. Do not defeat the safety purpose ofthe polarized or grounding-type plug. Apolarized plug has two blades with onewider than the other. A grounding-typeplug has two blades and a third ground-ing prong. The wide blade or the thirdprong is provided for your safety. If theprovided plug does not fit into your out-let, consult an electrician for replace-ment of the obsolete outlet.10. Protect the power cord from beingwalked on or pinched, particularly atplugs, convenience receptacles andthe point where they exit from theapparatus.11. Only use attachments/accessoriesspecified by the manufacturer.12. Use only with the cart, stand,tripod, bracket or table specified by themanufacturer or sold with the appara-tus. When a cart is used,use caution when mov-ing the cart/apparatuscombination to avoidinjury from tip-over.13. Unplug this apparatus during light-ning storms or when unused for longperiods of time.14. Refer all servicing to qualifiedservice personnel. Servicing is requiredwhen the apparatus has been damagedin any way, such as power-supply cordor plug is damaged, liquid has beenspilled or objects have fallen into theapparatus, the apparatus has beenexposed to rain or moisture, does notoperate normally, or has been dropped.15. Do not use attachments not recom-mended by the product manufacturer,as they may cause hazards.16. This product should be operatedonly from the type of power source indi-cated on the marking label. If you arenot sure of the type of power supply toyour home, consult your product dealeror local power company. For productsintended to operate from battery power,or other sources, refer to the operatinginstructions.17. If an outside antenna or cablesystem is connected to the product,be sure the antenna or cable systemis grounded so as to provide someprotection against voltage surgesand built-up static charges. Article810 of the National Electrical Code,ANSI/NFPA 70, provides informationwith regard to proper grounding of themast and supporting structure, ground-ing of the lead-in wire to an antennadischarge unit, size of grounding con-ductors, location of antenna-dischargeunit, connection to grounding elec-trodes, and requirements for thegrounding electrode. See Figure A.18. An outside antenna system shouldnot be located in the vicinity of over-head power lines or other electric lightor power circuits, or where it can fallinto such power lines or circuits. Wheninstalling an outside antenna system,extreme care should be taken to keepfrom touching such power lines or cir-cuits, as contact with them might befatal.19. Do not overload wall outlets, exten-sion cords, or integral conveniencereceptacles, as this can result in a riskof fire or electric shock.20. Never push objects of any kind intothis product through openings, as theymay touch dangerous voltage points orshort-out parts that could result in a fireor electric shock. Never spill liquid ofany kind on the product.21. The apparatus shall not be exposedto dripping or splashing, and no objectsfilled with liquids, such as vases, shallbe placed on the apparatus.22. Do not attempt to service this prod-uct yourself, as opening or removingcovers may expose you to dangerousvoltage or other hazards. Refer all serv-icing to qualified service personnel.23. When replacement parts arerequired, be sure the service technicianhas used replacement parts specifiedby the manufacturer or that have thesame characteristics as the originalpart. Unauthorized substitutions mayresult in fire, electric shock or otherhazards.24. Upon completion of any service orrepairs to this product, ask the servicetechnician to perform safety checks todetermine that the product is in properoperating condition.25. The product should be mounted to awall or ceiling only as recommended bythe manufacturer.READ FIRST!
